Pregnancy Update~ 37 1/2 Weeks

Alhamdulilah! The progesterone shots have done their job and kept little Hamida inside until full term, and of course I am sure all the dua's you ladies made for me helped too. Jazakalkhair.

As you all know, or perhaps I didn't write about it on here? I have been seeing specialists besides my regular OBGYN. At my 36 week check up, they found Hamida has not been growing the way she should. Initially, she was staying in the 30th percentile, and this is absolutely fine. For some reason though, she has dropped BELOW the 10th percentile. I am now having to go into the clinic to have NST's and ultrasounds two times a week.

Due to Hamida being so small and not being able to properly thrive in the womb, my OBGYN wants to induce me on the 25th of February if I have not gone into labor by then. So now it is just the waiting game.

It is so hard to imagine I will for sure have my little Hamida in my arms by the 25th!

Make dua for me that the induction goes smoothly and quickly. My biggest fear is ending up with a c-section which I want to avoid at all costs!

  2. Don't worry sis, inshallah everything will be okay.
You always hear about how inductions usually end up with c-sections but as long as you are comfortable with your doctor and trust that he/she knows exactly what you want then everything should be okay. I got induced with my daughter at 40w1day and I feared that it'd end up with a c-section but alhamdulillah it went very well.

  3. Did the blog design change?...

Sweetie... InshaAllah you will go through a very normal delivery and face no complications what so ever... InshaAllah you will hold Hamida in your arms and hear her giggle so soon...

And even if you had to go through a c-section, do not worry, it will be alright inshaAllah... my sister went through one that was not done very well and she had complications, and inspite of all of that, every thing was healed alhamdulellah quickly.... and now she does not mind going through one again :-) it has some positive sides that you can think of if you had to go through one...

Just be strong and happy and keep your faith in Allah strong... and we will keep you in our prayers inshaAllah...

  4. You don't have to be induced though. Please reconsider. I was told that my baby was too small as well. But I ended up delivering her naturally, and she was a very healthy size. Sometimes they meddle when it is really unnecessary, Allah knows best. You can choose to continue naturally, the final decision rests with you. May Allah make it smooth and successful, easy delivery inshallah ameen.
