Eid Al-Fitr 2012!

So this Eid was Ahmads first Eid! We did so many decorations and baked so many sweets! Ahmad loved the balloons and hanging stars. We had a lot of people over- about 15-20- and had a great time! Now to the pictures!

Our house! Yes we finally got a couch that we liked!

The Eid poster that I drew the night before Eid!

Cupcakes- everything that I cook and bake are by scratch!

Chocolate cake!

Mughli (Spice Pudding)

From left to right:
Cardamon and pistachio cake
Chocolate cake
Basbousa
Chocolate cupcakes
Mughli
Klecha (date cookies)
Date and walnut cake

 Ahmad making friends!

Mama! I don't want to be near a girl!

Ahmad and baba wearing their traditional Iraqi clothes

Ahmad playing with the guests!

Ahmad in his Iraqi Abaya!

Ahmad saying the tasbeeh! LOL I am just kidding. Insha'allah the dhikr will always be on his lips when he is older.

We were finally able to have someone take a picture of us as a family! :) Ahmad actually looked and smiled at the camera!

Alhamdulilah our Eid was good- even though these two boys that came with their family were a hassle. They went in the bathroom, took all the paper out, wet it and threw it on the walls. I was constantly following them everywhere so I caught them and cleaned up the huge mess before anyone else saw it!

Despite the few things that tried my patience Eid was great! It is always nice to have friends over and feed them! Eid Mubarak to all!
